The weatherman sure missed the forecast for awhile today. Was suppose to be sunny & a high around 47, but at noon it was 38 & cloudy. And that is when we started our ride. Sure was a cold start, but we warmed up after about 5 miles. Rick, Kenny, Tim M, & I rode for a total of 50 miles today. Great ride for the middle of March. Had a few hills & a few break aways, mostly by me just to let Rick know I still can do it without my big gear in front. Ride lasted just over 3 hrs & it was well worth the time. I think everyone went home happy & tired.
Since it is Selection Sunday for college basketball, I thought I would say something about that. IU is probably the best 8th seed ever. I thought they deserved a 6th seed, but the way they have played since the head coach resigned, they got what they deserved. If the real team shows up next weekend, they could really give a couple of teams a lot of trouble. But you never know & that is why they play the games.
Well, 6 weeks down & 24 more to go. I am happy with where I am at. The only thing I may be a little down with is I wish I had more running miles. But that should change a lot since the weather is getting nicer. Sure is easier to go running when it is a little warmer than it has been.
